A new Pool of Radiance has been discovered and it's up to you and your band of heroes to investigate it.The game originally started out using the 2nd Edition rules for D&D. The upcoming title will take place ten years after the end of the previous game. This was the beginning of the so-called Gold Box series, 12 titles that are still favorites among role-players. Back in 1987 the original Pool of Radiance was the first computer game to use the AD&D license.

It's set in the Moonsea region of the Forgotten Realms. And while Ubi Soft is publishing the title, it will still bear the SSI brand. The game is being developed by Stormfront Studios, who oldtimers will remember from SSI's classic Gold Box series. The builds we've seen so far are quite complete and we hope that the extra month or so of polish and balancing will really pay off once the game lands on store shelves. Producer Chuck Yager says Pool of Radiance is on track for a late September release.
